Tompolo: I didn’t give FG ultimatum on Kanu

The Ibe-Ebidouwei of the Ijaw nation, Government Ekpemupolo, popularly referred to as Tompolo, has.refuted claims. on social media connecting him with a three-week ultimatum to the Federal Government over the prolonged detention of the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

Making this rebuttal in a statement in Warri, Tompolo’s Media Consultan, Dr Paul Bebenimibo, made this rebuttal in a statement in Warri, explained that his principal never authored the publication, pointing out that he has nothing to do with the issue of Kanu.

“High Chief Ekpemupolo has nothing to do with the issue of Nnamdi Kanu. It is clearly the handwork of Tompolo’s enemies, who are out there to discredit and pull him down because of his stand against illegal crude oil activities in the Niger Delta region.

Recall that human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, recently propelled a protest in the Federal Capital Territory to press home to the call for the immediate release of the detained IPOB leader Kanu.

Last Friday the Federal High Court in Abuja adjourned Kanu’s trial till Monday, October 27, to enable him to open his defence in the terrorism charges filed against him.
