Nigerian gospel singer and minister, Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, says he strongly believes the season to judge bandits, terrorists and their sponsors has come.
The minister warned that the situation may persist or even grow worse if this time passes without the nation being unable to address growing insecurity.
The insecurity in the country has degenerated to a crisis level. Twenty five school children were kidnapped from the Government Girls’ Comprehensive Secondary School, Maga, Kebbi State, on Sunday night.
The development came just as the country was dealing with the killing of Brigadier General Musa Uba by Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) fighters in Borno State after a botched effort by the military to rescue him.
On Tuesday evening, Fulani bandits attacked a Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Eruku, a boundary community in Kwara State, during service.
The attack, which was caught on live stream, showed the terrorists firing many bullets before entering the church. They killed three worshippers and kidnapped several members, including the pastor.
In a post on Facebook on Wednesday, Bassey said the reason for the contention of the soul of Nigeria is because it is a great nation.
“I believe with all my heart that this is the time and season for the enemies of this nation to be judged once and for all – TERRORISTS, BANDITS, KIDNAPPERS AND ALL WHO FUND, SPONSOR AND SUPPORT THEM,” he wrote.
“If we miss this season, we may never get it again. NIGERIA, in my opinion, is one of the greatest nations on earth. And this is also why there is such contention against the soul of this nation.
“It s a new season for NIGERIA, and just like in Deuteronomy 7, there are enemies we have to conquer ! And as long as we ignore and pretend about these evils, the destiny of this nation will only remain a wish.
“NIGERIA, it is time! These killers, kidnappers, bandicts and the architects of these evil systems and structures as well as their sympathizers MUST BE JUDGED!
“We pray for will and courage for the government, the armed forces, intelligence community, and every stake holder (including the citizens) like never before to arise with one voice.
“But like mordecai said to Esther, if you remain silent, help will come from another source. So it shall be for Nigeria.
“Every one or group of persons that have determined that Nigeria will not rest, may their end come NOW ! IN JESUS’ NAME.
“GOD BLESS NIGERIA !”
