Liners Africa launches to transform software discovery across Africa

Liners Africa plans to expand its data coverage in line with the rapid growth of African startups

Technology entrepreneur, Kayode Faturoti has unveiled Liners Africa, a software review and discovery platform built to reshape how individuals and businesses across the continent identify and evaluate digital tools.

Launched in early 2026, the platform addresses a persistent gap in Africa’s tech ecosystem—the absence of structured, locally relevant data to guide software procurement decisions. Faturoti said the idea was born out of personal experience while working across fintech and enterprise software, where global platforms often failed to spotlight solutions tailored to African markets.

“The initial idea came from frustration,” he said. “There was no central place to verify information or effectively compare the tools being used across African markets.”

Liners Africa offers a centralized directory aimed at reducing reliance on word-of-mouth recommendations and promoting data-driven choices. Its features include verified software listings, detailed company profiles, side-by-side comparison tools, and automated systems to ensure data accuracy and authentic user reviews.

With digital adoption accelerating in key cities such as Lagos, Nairobi, Cairo, and Cape Town, demand for specialized software across sectors like logistics, agritech, and climate technology continues to grow. Analysts say platforms like Liners Africa could play a critical role in strengthening transparency and efficiency within the ecosystem.

Faturoti, who has a background in cryptocurrency infrastructure and digital payments, emphasized that improving transparency is central to the platform’s mission.
“We want software decisions to be based on information that is clear and verifiable,” he said.

Looking ahead, Liners Africa plans to expand its data coverage in line with the rapid growth of African startups, with the goal of building a trusted digital infrastructure for software discovery across the continent.
