Soludo wins Anambra governorship election, defeats APC’s Ukachukwu by over 300,000 votes

Incumbent governor in Anambra State, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo and candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has won the governorship election conducted on Saturday, November 8, 2025.

Soludo defeated his closest rival and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Nicholas Ukachukwu, by more than 300,000 votes, according to TheCable.

The publication, which operated a 24-hour Live session on its website for the coverage of the election, titled the publication: “HOW IT WENT: Soludo defeats APC’s Ukachukwu by over 300,000 votes to win Anambra guber.”

Ukachukwu had during the exercise, alleged vote buying and intimidation of his party’s agents.

Ukachukwu, who voted at his polling unit in Osumenyi Ward 2, Polling Unit 012, described the development as a threat to democracy.
