The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested at least three persons allegedly involved in vote-buying during Saturday’s Anambra governorship election.
The suspects were apprehended at different locations while voting was still in progress.
According to the EFCC, one Emeka Ilokasia was arrested at Ward 2, Njikoka Local Government Area of the state.
Similarly, Nwachuwu Loretta was taken into custody at Ward 2 (008), Awkuzu, Oyi LGA, while Emuka Chuwudi was arrested at Umunachi village in Dukonukofia local government area.
“All the suspects were arrested while participating in the governorship election held on Saturday, November 8, 2025,” the anti-graft agency said on its official Facebook page.
“They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.”
