Kwara police lying, three of my cousins abducted by bandits in church attack – Nollywood actress, Bukola Arugba

Nollywood actress, Bukola Awoyemi, better known as Bukola Arugba, has sent a “Save Our Soul” message to the wife of Kwara State governor, Olufolake Abdulrazaq, over the abduction that took place in Eruku community on Tuesday.
Bandits said to be numbering about 10 invaded a branch of the Christ Apostolic Church in the boundary community between Kogi and Kwara around 6pm.
The church was Live Streaming the service.
The terrorists fired many live rounds around the church before entering into the building as seen in the viral video online.
They ransacked the auditorium, carting away bags of worshippers before killing three and abducting at least 30 people.
However, the Kwara State police command in a press release, claimed three persons, including a vigilante, were injured in the attack, without confirming the number of those abducted or killed.
In a statement, Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, police spokesperson in the state, said operatives, in collaboration with vigilantes, responded to what he called “an attempted bandit attack in Eruku”.
She said the bandits fled into the bush following the intervention of the police team and the vigilantes.
Debunking the claim by the police in a video posted on Facebook on Wednesday, the actress mentioned her cousins that have been kidnapped by the invaders.
“This is directly addressing the press release by the First Lady of Kwara State this morning regarding the bandits attack in Eruku. My name is Bukola Grace Awoyemi, I’m from Eruku town, Ekiti Local Government in Kwara State. The information you got from the Kwara State police is false ma’am. This involves my people directly,” she said.
“It was a successful attack, not an attempted attack. We all saw the video; they were streaming live when the church programme was going on, when the bandits came in. A lot of people were abducted. I was so much pained when I saw the release that it was an attempted attack and nothing happened to anyone.
“Three people are dead. I have spoken to a lot of people from my town; my uncles, my cousins. Presently, three of my cousins are in bandits den. Evangelist Titi Balogun, she is my mum’s younger sister, Ebenezer Aina, my cousin’s son, is there, so it was a successful attack, it was not an attempted one…”
