Gov Alia asks Nigerians to pray for nation

Benue State, Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has asked Nigerians to rekindle their spirit of patriotism and faith as a key ingredient for developing a stronger and more united nation.
According to his media aide, Tersoo Kula, the governor spoke on Sunday during a Holy Mass at the Government House Chapel in Makurdi.
The number one citizen of Benue State emphasized the need for citizens to imbibe the spirit of nationalism by showing love for their country and maintaining a positive outlook despite prevailing challenges.
According to the Governor, “Nigeria belongs to all of us. We must continue to pray for our country, believe in her potential, and contribute our quota to her growth. National development is a collective task that requires our unity, optimism, and hard work.”
He offered special prayers for the repose of departed souls, comprising members of the Armed Forces, as well as for past leaders and every Nigerian struggling for a better future.
He prayed for God’s wisdom, strength, and divine protection upon all citizens.
Reaffirming his administration’s dedication to peace, development, and moral rejuvenation, the Governor assured that his government would continue to implement policies that uplift the welfare of Benue people and contribute to Nigeria’s overall progress.
He urged Nigerians across all faiths and regions to remain steadfast in their prayers for the country’s peace, stability, and prosperity, adding that collective faith and patriotic action remain the bedrock of a great nation.
