Dangote supplies 32m litres of petrol in December

The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) has said that the
Dangote Refinery supplied 32.02 million litres of Petrol Motor Spirit (PMS) in December.
A factsheet released by NMDPRA s aid Dangote Refinery showed a strong capacity utilization for the month of December attaining a maximum of 71% utilization from the 50 million litres it targeted.
The factsheet stated that there were production activities at the three refineries of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited as the refinery remained on shut down mode.
It, however, said there was evacuation of prior AGO produced in the Port Harcourt Refinery while it was operational before the 24 May 2025 at an average of 247,000 litres/day.
I further said that because of the festive season, the NNPCL and other companies imported 42.2 million litres per day to make up the 72.4 million litres of PMS supplied into the domestic market.
It added that one license for a new refinery was issued while the Waltersmith (Train 2) 5,000bpsd has completed pre‑commissioning and hydrocarbon will be introduced by January 2026.
For Modular refineries, it said the Waltersmith refinery made use of 63.24% of its capacity and produced an Average AGO 51,000 per day.
Edo refinery utilised 85.43% of its capacity and supplied an average AGO of 52,000 litres/day while Aradel Refinery used 53.89% of its capacity saw the supply of average AGO of 289, 000 litres/day.
