BREAKING: Bandits invade girls secondary school in Kebbi, kidnap students, kill vice principal

Gunmen suspected to be bandits have reportedly invaded Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School (GGCSS), in Maga, Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State, killing the Vice Principal and abducting several students.

The attack which took place on Sunday night, was said to have claimed the live of the vice principal, Hassan Yakubu Makuku, while attempting to shield the students from the inavders.

According to Daily Post, the number of students kidnapped remains unclear, as authorities are yet to provide official details.

A resident, Murjanatu Hassan Gishiri, who confirmed the incident, said the assailants invaded the school unhindered, unleashing terror and throwing the community into trauma.

“It is a heartbreaking tragedy that has thrown the entire region into deep fear and mourning,” she lamented.

Residents have continued to pray for the repose of the slain vice principal, whom they described as a devoted educator and protector of the children under his care.

Security agencies have not yet issued a formal statement on the attack, but locals are urging urgent intervention from both state and federal authorities to rescue the abducted students and prevent further violence in schools and vulnerable communities across the region.
