President Bola Tinubu has sworn in Taiwo Oyedele as Minister of State for Finance.
The short swearing-in ceremony held at the State House on Monday.
Oyedele steps into the position previously occupied by Dr. Doris Anite-Uzoka, who has since been redeployed to the Ministry of Budget and National Planning as Minister of State, marking her third ministerial portfolio in the current administration.
Recall that TMY News correspondent had earlier reported that the Senate confirmed Oyedele’s appointment on Wednesday, 11th March 2026, just 24 hours after President Tinubu requested his screening.
Before his appointment, Oyedele had served as Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, where he led a total overhaul of Nigeria’s tax system.
