Senator representing Enugu North in Enugu State, Okey Ezea, is dead.
Ezea was elected under the Labour Party, and he is the only remaining member of the party in the National Assembly from Enugu State.
According to Daily Post, Ezea passed away on Tuesday in the United Kingdom while receiving treatment.
A popular on-air media personality, ‘Senator’ Chijinkem Ugwuanyi, broke the news on his Facebook page.
“Sad News. Senator Okey Ezea, representing Enugu North, is dead… Rest in Peace,” he wrote.
It was also reported that Ezea was earlier treated in Germany.
Details of his illness and demise, however, remain unclear.
