Ene Obi berates Keyamo for saying CSOs don’t represent Nigerians

Human rights and social justice campaigner, Ene Obi, has knocked the Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, for his statement that civil society organizations, CSOs, do not represent the wishes of Nigerians.
Obi made known her disappointment when she appeared on Arise Television’s ‘Morning Show’ on Friday.
She was reacting to protests by CSOs demandihg real-time electronic transmission of election results.
Recall that several CSOs, individuals and prominent opposition politicians including former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi and ex-Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, participated in the protest.
Obi said, “It’s unfortunate Festus Keyamo, SAN, thinks civil society organisations don’t represent Nigerians’ wishes.
“He used to be on this side. Even President Tinubu was a known protester. With the Electoral Act passed, we’ll focus on the judiciary.
“Let’s look at our conscience while speaking because you are in power now. Power is very temporary.”
