Police search Arizona home of person detained in connection to Guthrie disappearance

Police are searching the Arizona home of a person who has been detained in connection to the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the mother of US news anchor Savannah Guthrie

Guthrie, 84, was abducted from her home near Tucson, Arizona, more than a week ago, prompting a widespread search

Savannah Guthrie and her siblings have released several videos on social media pleading for their mother’s release, telling her potential abductor: “We will pay” for her return

It comes after officials released videos and images showing a masked person, who they say was armed, at her doorstep the night she disappeared

A few hours ago, the FBI released footage of a masked person at Nancy Gutrhrie’s house on the morning she disappeared.

The agency said that the video had been “previously inaccessible” before its release.

In the video, the masked person can be seen checking the camera before moving away, picking up some vegetation from the ground and using it to cover the camera lens.
