Super Eagles, Jamaica , Zimbabwe, India for 2026 Unity Cup in London

Super Eagles and Jamaica are amongst the four teams that will be participating in this year’s Unity Cup, the premier global football tournament celebrating AfroCentric and global diaspora communities, which is making a return to its historic home in South London.
Kicking off on May 26th to May 30th 2026, Zimbabwe and India will join Nigeria and Jamaica to compete at the famed turf of The Valley,. Charlton Athletic.
Following the success of the 2025 edition, which saw Nigeria crowned champions at Brentford, the Unity Cup, was famously hosted at The Valley in 2004, a landmark event involving Nigeria, Jamaica and The Republic of Ireland that consolidated the competition’s reputation for blending elite sport with cultural celebration.
An all African clash between Nigeria and Zimbabwe kicks off the 2026 Unity Cup, while the second fixture sees Jamaica take on India, a game that promises to be as much a spectacle in the stands as it is on the pitch. Fans will be “Jam-In” at The Valley as they witness a vibrant Dancehall v Desi culture clash. This game builds on the legacy of previous international fixtures, bringing together two of the UK’s most passionate sporting communities.
The final set to kick off at 7:30pm on May 30, promises to deliver the same electric mix of entertainment and culture that defined the 2025 event, with The Valley set to be transformed into a festival hub.
Before the final game, the Third-Place Play-off between the losers of the two semifinals will hold.
Commenting on the Unity Cup 2026,
organisers AfroSport said: “The Unity Cup is back again, promising to deliver an event unlike any other. Those who attended last year will know that this is more than a football match but a joyous occasion that brings people together over 3 days in a celebration of culture, rivalry, friendship and respect.”
In his remarks, President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Ibrahim Musa Gusau expressed optimism that the Super Eagles will.retain the title
“The Nigeria Football Federation is pleased with another opportunity to see the Super Eagles compete at the highly exciting and entertaining Unity Cup Tournament.
“As perennial champions, the Super Eagles will look to retain their title again this summer, even as they will not underrate the other participating teams viz India, Jamaica and Zimbabwe. The tournament promises to be explosive and that is the setting in which the Super Eagles thrive best”, added Gusau.
