Obi Cubana (born Obinna Tochukwu Iyiegbu; 12 April 1975) is a Nigerian entrepreneur, socialite, entertainer, and philanthropist.
He is best known as the founder and chairman of the Cubana Group, a hospitality and lifestyle conglomerate operating across Nigeria. Cubana is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in Nigeria’s entertainment and nightlife industries.
Early Life and Education
Obinna Iyiegbu was born on 12 April 1975 in Oba, a town in Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nigeria. He attended Central Primary School in Oba and completed his secondary education at Dennis Memorial Grammar School, Onitsha. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) in 1998.
Career
Hospitality and Entertainment Obi Cubana began his business career in 2006 with the launch of Ibiza Club in Abuja. In 2009, he founded the Cubana Group, which has since expanded into a network of nightclubs, lounges, hotels, and event centers across cities such as Lagos, Abuja, Owerri, Enugu, and Port Harcourt. The group is known for its upscale nightlife experience and celebrity clientele.
